Views on Christianity

 Roses are red,

Violets are blue.

God's blood is shed,

Just for you.

How do you know that is true? How do you know Christianity is 'right'? I grew up going to church, but now, I am questioning my religion. In the late 15th into the 16th century, before slavery, the Europeans travelled to the Caribbean to wipe the 'uncivilized' culture of the indigenous and taught them Christianity, which was considered civilized. The same group of people who captured Africans brought them to the Caribbean and sold them into slavery. They were kept as slaves and forced to work on plantations for so long. They were colonized and taught Christianity. According to revised history, my ancestors were ill-treated during slavery. How can I trust that what was taught during those times were accurate? I'm not saying that I don't believe in Christ, but I am a little cautious. At this point, you cannot go wrong if you do what's right.
